How Can Tapping Help with Emotional Eating?

Stacey talks with Luz Chacón, one of the experts in the "Travel the World of Healing" program. Luz, is a Wellness Coach and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)/Tapping Practitioner who is passionate about helping people who struggle with stress and emotional eating to heal their relationship with food and with themselves using mind-body modalities that free them from stuck patterns. Through her private practice, she offers individual coaching, individual Tapping sessions, group Tapping, workshops, a 10-Day Sugar Detox program, and other group programs. 

Luz broke up with sugar in 2013 once she connected the dots between various symptoms she was experiencing and yeast overgrowth. While she loves to support people to break the sugar and processed food habit and shift to cleaner eating, she recognizes that stress and emotional eating are often the underlying barriers. For this reason, she integrated EFT/Tapping into her practice as a way to address root causes, such as stress, anxiety, trauma, and unhealed emotional wounds. Through her holistic approach, clients are able to prioritize self-care, increase self-compassion, and improve health.

She also works with private companies and nonprofit organizations offering worksite wellness services. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Public Health degree and Certification as a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She also worked in the public health field for almost 30 years developing community health promotion programs.
